Our consultant Um Muhammad (trained in Egypt, Dar Zahra, Tarim and Jordan) will walk you through the Qaaida Nooraaniya.
What is it?
- 18 hours of contact time in a small group workshop
- Blended learning including lectures, slides, pair/group practice as well as one on one opportunity to work on individual needs
- Fishbowl activities to allow participants to hone in on their teaching and correction styles
- Workbook with main teaching points listed so you can focus on listening and practice, but also space for individual notes so you can keep all your information organised in one place
- 30 minutes of individual online practice within a month of completion of the course
- Your own colour copy of Qaaida Nooraaniya to keep
Frequently Asked Questions
1. I am not a teacher. Can I join?
The course is suitable for 13+ age groups. Everyone will benefit according to their own prior learning and ability. It is particularly valuable for teachers as it provides tools and strategies to diagnose and correct others. The same tools are however, very useful for someone only interested in self-correction.
2. I already know how to read well/ have memorised quite a lot. Will I benefit?
It is an opportunity to review and to engage in meta learning and also in perfecting your own makhaarij and understanding of the Traditional methods and wisdom embedded in texts such as the Qaaida Nooraaniya
3. Do you teach children?
Qaaida Nooraaniya Intensives for young children (5-15) will be made available in the school holidays in the future. It will be designed to enable an average learner to complete the text in 30 hours.
4. Do you offer other courses for teachers?
The Qaaida Nooraaniya Intensive Workshop is Module 1 of a complete training, culminating with full ijaaza with sanad for those who wish to memorise and specialise. The other modules will be rolled out gradually when there are sufficient numbers of graduates for this Module 1.
4. Do you obtain a qualification with this module?
Participants who attend and complete all activities will be awarded a certificate of participation. Those who wish to have a certificate of achievement will need to test on the entire Qaaida Nooraaniya, and if their grade is above 90%, will be awarded an achievement certificate, attesting that they are qualified to teach it to others. This will be at an extra cost and subject to eligibility criteria.
